When it started?
How it started?
How long does the pain last?
How frequent do you get the pain?
Where is the headache?
Can you describe the pain?
Does it spreads to other places?
Any trigger factors like ice cream or cheese?
Any relieving factors like going to a dark place and quiet environment?
Any associated problems when the headache comes?
Are you also coughing?
Any toothache?
Any earache?
Do you have sinusitis?
Are you having recurrent throat infection?
Describe the nature of your stress...

erm... i thought type 2 is not genetic.... they usually occur in adults who are obese because they constantly take in glucose, and hence, they insulin levels are practically high the whole day. and where this persists, their cells are no longer receptive to insulin (since they are over exposed to it already).Originally posted by renorenal:Type 2 is genetic
Type 1 is usually not genetic... it is associated more with other autoimmune diseases like DM, thyroid disorders, hormonal disorders and other kidney problems...
Hmmm... so you have been having this problem for 6 years now?
Any questions you would want me to help you with?
What you explain is purely theory based...Originally posted by starblue:erm... i thought type 2 is not genetic.... they usually occur in adults who are obese because they constantly take in glucose, and hence, they insulin levels are practically high the whole day. and where this persists, their cells are no longer receptive to insulin (since they are over exposed to it already).
Type 1 is the genetic one, since it is your body's inability to synthesize the correct functional insulin molecules.....
lolz.. erm... you see Type 2 with strong family history prob cos of correlational factors like diet and lifestyle la... cos eating habits are inculcated from young mah... if the parent is obese, he may pass his eating and lifestyle habits to his son mah... lolz...Originally posted by renorenal:What you explain is purely theory based...
I once believed in what you explained, but after entering clinical school and practicing medicine, this is never true...
In clinical practice, this is not true... If you were to focus on clinical practice, you would see many Type 2 diabetics have a strong family history of DM, whereas those of Type 1 has none or only a few...
Type 1 is not purely genetic, because it occurs in a clump of other autoimmune disorders... They occur with other disorders as well like what I have mentioned previously. Hence some may get the other conditions and escape from DM...
That may be true... but again... these are more of ethnicity contributing factors to diabetes...Originally posted by starblue:lolz.. erm... you see Type 2 with strong family history prob cos of correlational factors like diet and lifestyle la... cos eating habits are inculcated from young mah... if the parent is obese, he may pass his eating and lifestyle habits to his son mah... lolz...
hmmm... icic... my lecturer left that out... she only told us about the obese thing... dreads... now i'm wondering if all my lectures are for nothing. lolz...Originally posted by renorenal:Genes and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
In this research, it was found that from young, the genes for insulin resistance are already present, it only depends on environmental factors to aggravate it or to delay it.
