Alright... I have so far ruled out a chest infection (pneumonia & pleuritis), anxiety, and arrhythmias...Originally posted by StarPuppy:my mother had kidney failure when she had me...meaning...my mother gave birth to me despite her kidney failure

complicated to give birth normal way lor.. if doctors used tongs, he may crush starpuppy's head.Originally posted by mystiv:hmm. why?
but 3 months in advance..Originally posted by alexkusu:complicated to give birth normal way lor.. if doctors used tongs, he may crush starpuppy's head.
No, it's because the birth is premature, and his head has not engaged in the pelvis to allow a normal delivery... hence an extraction via caesarean section will be much safer...Originally posted by alexkusu:complicated to give birth normal way lor.. if doctors used tongs, he may crush starpuppy's head.
Question : what/where is the sternum?Originally posted by renorenal:Alright... I have so far ruled out a chest infection (pneumonia & pleuritis), anxiety, and arrhythmias...
Question: If you gently press on the sides of your sternum, do you feel any pain?
Question: Any medication that you are taking?
Coz the mother has renal failure, and this will increase the risk of heart failure as well, leading to both the death of the mother and the fetus. In pregnancy, there is an increase in the demand of blood supply to the fetus (the heart hence have to beat faster and stronger and the kidney has to be sufficient in clearing away toxins and preserving needed nutritions), if the body is not able to supply this, the fetus will not survive.Originally posted by mystiv:but 3 months in advance..need so early?
yalor doctor.. me jus explain it in simple terms ma. Rely on u to provide the detailsOriginally posted by renorenal:No, it's because the birth is premature, and his head has not engaged in the pelvis to allow a normal delivery... hence an extraction via caesarean section will be much safer...
sternum is basically the place where ur ribcage meets. try tracing ur fingers along ur ribcage (the bottom one). think soOriginally posted by StarPuppy:Question : what/where is the sternum?
Question: currently no
The bone right in the middle of your chest that connects all the ribs...Originally posted by StarPuppy:Question : what/where is the sternum?

nope..no pain...just to sidetrack a little...when i was younger around 6-7 years old...i rode my bicycle and slammed against a pillar..i hit my chest and was breathless for a few mins...gasping for airOriginally posted by renorenal:The bone right in the middle of your chest that connects all the ribs...
I've ruled out another common disease - costochondritis...Originally posted by StarPuppy:nope..no pain...just to sidetrack a little...when i was younger around 6-7 years old...i rode my bicycle and slammed against a pillar..i hit my chest and was breathless for a few mins...gasping for air
there was no checkup on any doctors on this traumaOriginally posted by renorenal:I've ruled out another common disease - costochondritis...
Now I want to know more about this trauma... was there any rib fracture, was there any X-ray done, and what were the findings?
2 years ago when the pain started, was there any trauma?
Now, when you experience the pain again, was there any trauma as well?
Can you recall all the episodes of the pain you had in a timeline? How long does the pain last and how frequent does the pain come?
You told me that the pain is crushing in nature, but is it sharplike?
just want to say erm starpuppy do you really want every one who reads this to know about your condition(in case you never thought about it)? better if you do pms with renorenal for confidentiality bah??Originally posted by renorenal:I've ruled out another common disease - costochondritis...

doctor dont want to reply to pm. Also easier if people with same prob as starpuppy... can use as reference ma.Originally posted by hisoka:just want to say erm starpuppy do you really want every one who reads this to know about your condition(in case you never thought about it)? better if you do pms with renorenal for confidentiality bah??
My sole advice to you is to get a chest X ray done and get the findings... It is better to know what is happening inside, since your current symptoms are more suggestive of a trauma rather than most of the important causes mentioned above...Originally posted by StarPuppy:there was no checkup on any doctors on this trauma
6-7 years ago it happens every 2-3 months once, few years back.... once every 5-6 months..
and now...for the past 2 years..only such 2 happenings every 10 or 11 months..close to a year
Pain: lasting only for a few seconds(1-2 seconds)
Pain: just a sharp nick before the crushing follows
Patient confidentiality is important, but if the patient is willing to let it be known, then it's okay... if he feels shy, he can PM me...Originally posted by hisoka:just want to say erm starpuppy do you really want every one who reads this to know about your condition(in case you never thought about it)? better if you do pms with renorenal for confidentiality bah??
