btw if you wanna reduce blood presure is it possible to poke yourself to drain some blood so that the blood volume decreae and thus lower blood pressure? i understand the immediate effect is contraction of blood vessels to maintain the pressure btu what about abit later?
With that, you can drain up all that is needed and you will go woozy... blood pressure will drop of course because you are loosing blood... -

erm.. like i said, i am not sure if the symptoms i described as angina is really angina, but when i read it (i wad 15 i think), the symptoms matched my own, and the causes for it are what i said to be. there are no long term damage to any part of the body after the throbbing pain stopped (unlike the angina you described) so i guess we were talking about different things.Originally posted by renorenal:Angina does not result from reduced blood volume...
Angina results when there is a disproportion between supply and demand...
Your coronary arteries get clogged up because of atherosclerosis and hence the distal (after the blockage) portion of the arteries collapse and stop supplying the parts they used to supply, hence leading to infarction and necrosis (myocardial infarction). The proximal portion (before the blockage) of the heart gets sufficient blood and keeps on living.
If the principles is solely based on not enough plasma volume, many will become anemic... and that is not the case...
i was merely trying to give an alternative explanation to starpuppy's symptoms, maybe he can judge for himself what it is like... very simple, he can just drink water the next time he feels the pain, if it doesnt help, then it's prob not the same problem as me loh....

Just want you to know that a lot of patients have psychological impact in their minds and taking in things from a layman will create and stir unnecessary anxiety... they may do whatever that is necessary to remove this anxiety and no one knows for sure what they will do...
It is safer to remain behind bars and comment on things... if you can't commit, it is better to omit...
I have seen several patients who has been given wrong advice which stirs them in the dark and they decided to take their own lives... and these advice are from their aunties and uncles who pass on their advices through word of mouth...
As you can see, the things that I've described up to now are not unequivocal... I am just explaining to them the physiology of the human body and the clinically applied medicine... -

erm... but wad i said will cause the patient to have dark thoughts??? ermz... if u havent noticed, the symptoms i describe are far less daunting than yours leh... the patient (starpuppy) can just do a simple test to see if his symptoms are same as mine simply by drinking water... unless drinking water will cause harm for the REAL angina.... then my bad...
