Somehow eating at night gains more weight than eating early in the morning...Originally posted by the Bear:darn.. i'm hungry..
and i've gained a heck of a lot of weight in the past week with indiscriminate eating
wonder if i should go snack or something

Something to do with the cholesterol enzymes coming out to work at night, and it is at its optimum during that time.
Justification of why anti-cholesterol medications are to be taken at night, so that they can inhibit their activities...
So in short, sleep the hunger off![]()

Interesting...Originally posted by the Bear:i don't wanna go to sleep just yet...
tonight, i'm working night shift.. so i plan to sleep most of the day away
Hehehe... also another reason is that our metabolic activities tend to be slower at night... its when regeneration occurs after a whole trauma during the day, so blood is shunted towards the area where healing and repair is needed.Originally posted by rainee:die le...
I always tend to eat more at night...
sometimes cannot sleep leh...cos got work to be done...
I'm sorry to ask, but what do you work as?Originally posted by the Bear:strangely, i don't eat during the day shifts.. coz the canteen stuff is not fit for animal consumption, much less human
night shifts, i eat a lot... coz there's a time where we have a break, i go buy stuff outside the office premises to eat
Almost nocturnal? Well, the body will initially try it's very best to adjust to the newly timed biological clock... though at first, it may be hard, as you may suffer from symptoms of sleepiness, slowness but eventually succumb to symptoms of insomnia, wariness and alertness. Adjusting the whole biological clock is not a one day's job to allow you to feel comfortable over it, but amazingly our body is able to do it, over a few weeks.Originally posted by the Bear:what happens if a person is almost nocturnal?

If we eat eat eat, all the blood will instead be shunted to the gut for digestion and absorption, and neglecting the repair of the necessities, hence leading to poor immunity system in the long run...
Oh well, I think I better turn in for the night as well...![]()
