u dun have to count the ribs... just put your palms on the abdomen and search for the costal margin... the final rib that connect to the sternum... u have 12 ribs altogether, 2 ribs are floating ribs, meaning they don't connect to the sternum... so only the 2nd to the 10th rib connects to the sternal body itself... the 1st rib connects to the notch... once u detect the margin, move up to the center where the xiphisternum is and start compressingOriginally posted by hisoka:forgot le not correct arh? -
