looking into each other's eyes in the rain
breathing deeply, her whelming emotions to tame
she started to voice the question in her eyes
when he, with a blush, said a soft quiet "hi"
still too choked up to say anything
he did her a favour by continuing his speaking,
"it is raining all the more heavier,
do you want to go to that small shelter?"
he placed a palm on the small of her back
gently guiding her to the sheltered void deck
pressing into her hands his white handkerchief
and then after, began smoothing his wet sleeve
seeing her too dazed to notice she's drenched
something in his heart he felt painfully clenched
taking his hanky back he proceeded to, now,
wipe the raindrop running down her brow
(to be continued)
startled by the sudden warmth of his hand
her senses came back to where she now stand
looking intently at the man before her
why she let him touch her, she isnt clear
still not speaking a word, the two silently stood
she trying not to cry as far as she could
he frowned in contemplation wanting to decide
whether he should hold the girl standing beside
slightly shaking from the cold were her shoulders
he stopped resisting and held her closer
feeling his heart rench when he felt a sob
wishing he could make her crying stop
she felt his arms tighten around her being
listening to his heart's strong thumping
she buried her face in the curve of his neck
inhaling his smell, feeling her calm come back
