final fantasy. my friend spoke of it often though i was never quite interested in it. lolz. but the name reminded me of final destination. i never knew wad it was until the movie came out and my bro told me. i never had the courage to watch it. people dying horribly is really not appealing to my gut....

animation can be good, but if the story is crap, it's just pretty pictures...
in many ways, i still love that series Cowboy Bebop... the art isn't cutting edge, but the story and the music they used gave it an atmosphere which, i feel, has not been surpassed yet...
the use of bebop, blues and soul in an anime was something else and they chose the wonderful Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts to come up with the most amazing soundtrack and to me, the greatest song in an anime bar none in Gotta Knock A Little Harder with vocals by Mai Yamane.. is breathtaking
so, fly here, fly there.. it's just animation... what brings it to life are stories, plot and the ability to make what is on the screen, tampered by the music and dialogue, tell a story well enough to move the heart..

oh.. people die horribly in that movie...
cowboy bebop.. you can get the series on VCD at the shops like Poh Kim.. or pay a little bit more, get the DVDs
i actually got the DVDs (dubbed The Perfect Sessions) almost the same price as i would have paid for VCDs..
VCDs = $29.90 for 1 - 13, $29.90 for 14 - 26
total = $59.80
i bought the DVDs for $59.90
it's good.. but the ending is kinda sad...
somewhere in there, there is a movie.. which happens between episode 22 and 23.. and after the movie (which you need not watch coz it's by itself) the mood for the series changes...
