it said that people who go to them WANT to believe in something.. and are usually guillable...
that's 3/4 of the battle won.. these people usually have minds which are open to suggestion and would be amenable to anything you suggest to them...
throw in all the generic, all-encompassing terms, the victim will believe anything...
and finally.. the sting... you've got them.. hook, line and sinker...
they'll keep coming back... and you've got someone throwing money at you...
