Wah.... I slept early last night and totally missed this post-outing After-Action Review.
Coming down with the flu. Those of you who were there might have noticed that I was sneezing and blowing my nose quite a fair bit.

For some reason they chose to conduct IPPT on the morning before my company mission exercise. There were other better timeslots for that, but that fact must have escaped whoever came up with the training schedule. Obviously everyone decided to conserve their energy for the mission. My company horlan-ded magnificently during the mission exercise. A short nighttime quick attack from 12mn to 2am became a dawn deliberate attack from 12mn to 5am because of that. We must have walked at least double the original distance.
And as coy medic I was practically dragging a couple of stragglers all the way to the objective. I can't say I totally blame them - my own combat fitness was a pale shadow of my NSF days.
Then while we were digging our shellscrapes it suddenly started to rain heavily. And it rained while the sun was still shining. Perfect weather for catching the cold.
Then on the last day we were told that we could outprocess at 3pm. However, the vehicle carrying the outpro machine broke down at another camp. We ended up spending two hours queueing in the hot sun waiting for that damn machine to show up.
And worse still, my dad had to wait a couple of hours outside the camp to fetch me home because of that screwup. Since my dad's a taxi driver, he lost money by waiting for me instead of fetching passengers.
Yeah, I think that pretty much sums up my ICT. -
