but they insist on making decisions based on ignorance and arrogance, and only to further their own ambitions instead of doing the job properly...

cant really blame some, probably due to societal pressures or emphasis on one's personal achievement. eg 'we' vs 'I'.

that being said, in my old post, my team guys have told me outright that i'll probably not be promoted because i look after them and get the job done properly even if it meant sticking it to the higher management...
strangely, it was because of that willingness to do the right thing, i got a lot of cooperation from my guys... and in that, we were bloody effective at what we did..
if only the senior management wasn't self-serving, they would get the cooperation of the whole organisation instead of all the damage control we got to do all the time -

i do sometimes... which is why i mentioned about the views of the guys in my team
anyway, the challenge of asking senior management to work a few cycles with the rank and file remain unanswered..
