  Nope. You can still use PowerPoint, but just have to be careful of what you download, especially from emails. What I've heard the latest is it is now spreading very wildly, and some tech forums have been jammed pack full of the same questions. Antivirus vendors are still scratching their heads for a cure as of now. If you want to avoid it, can use OpenOffice. It's fully compatible with Microsoft Office and best of all, it's free.
  
  Just change the format you save to .ppt, so that others could read the files.
  
  Edit: Just for your info, use Google. Instead of opening that file, select View as HTML. Don't need to download anything, very safe, if you are suspicious of it.
