  Most parents are one of the kind lah. I can't be bothered, I continue learning and even late into the nights.
  
  Textbooks aren't really useless, they are there for a purpose. Don't get advanced books and try to read, will end up more blur. Start with textbooks, they are very basic, understand them and pick up other books or help people to make sure you have understood concepts. If you help and get stuck halfway, you know the basics are not there. Re-read the textbook again. Everything isn't as simple as it seems.

  Good is good lah, but very tiring and resources can be scarce. Borrow wrong book, read wrong resources make you even more confuse, in the end learn nothing.
  
  But guess now I've come up with a list of books such that I won't borrow wrong books. Certain publisher books are very very very good.

  Ask school. I'm not in charge of school's softwares, I don't know. But most likely quite expensive, after it has been acquired by Adobe.
