Haha, life is quite good, very smooth sailing for the past few months.Originally posted by ^spidee^:Hi Mayi, how's life?![]()
actually imo IT programming/scripting books are useless. Just seeing the thickness of those books make me sick and sleepy haiz. Hmm and often or not, they complicate understanding rather than just providing everything in point form. Things often or not should be short, sharp, corcise and not neccessary sweet.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Haha, good idea, but those books run out fast and outdated fast also. But then there are some publishers which I recommend. They are good for learning a new language and are useful even to the pros. Get books from O'Reilly, not cheap though.
Skip those bibles, they do no good![]()

Haha, I got one already, The Complete Reference of Macromedia Flash MX 2004.Originally posted by NekoRin:I have a couple of good books on Flash, can lend you if you want hehe :3
Flash 101 Industrial Tips and Secrets (I think the name is like that, from O'Reilly) and Flash ActionScripting pocket reference guide (O'Reilly too)![]()
Bibles dun make fast references...... F1 key is your best tutor if it's availableOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:I find some are quite good.
Beginning books, The Complete Reference, Foundation books are good, though Foundation books are too wordy...
O'Reilly books are good, but for experts de. I cannot understand them unless got basics.
Passport and bibles are for fast reference without details. Super fast revision I call that.![]()
Hi kantang!Originally posted by udontknowme:i ish here...
F1 can be the best, depending only. For Photoshop, good as nothing.Originally posted by NekoRin:Bibles dun make fast references...... F1 key is your best tutor if it's available
ohoh ic...Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Haha, I got one already, The Complete Reference of Macromedia Flash MX 2004.
I've read a few pages already, still stuck at basics. Got time then move on to the animation liao. Next semester starting Web Application Development and my Flash still like that...![]()
lolx true. But I find Ex-Macromedia F1s very extensive and easy to understand. I learn 80% of my flash skills thru the F1 keyOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:F1 can be the best, depending only. For Photoshop, good as nothing.![]()
But must wait for school to upgrade, so have to wait.Originally posted by NekoRin:ohoh ic...
the tutorials that come together with the flash program itself can give you enough headstart in flash le. Btw, it will be good to start from flash8 now... MX2004 is version7. Flash8 has more script functions, a better video integration, and sport a better graphics 'engine' than ver7
Macromedia F1 very good... last time anyhow do also come up with a simple advertisement for a movie. Not bad, but teacher don't like.Originally posted by NekoRin:lolx true. But I find Ex-Macromedia F1s very extensive and easy to understand. I learn 80% of my flash skills thru the F1 key
