What do you find the most challenging in a r/s?

As above, wanna hear your view
For me, it's communication and how to make it last. How to handle the real challenges in a r/s after the so-called "honeymoon period". How to change and adapt, and yet still be able to retain your own personality.
Many couples think they are made for each other during the initial stage of a r/s. But a couple that is still able to feel this way after a long time of being together can be assured that the love they have for each other is real.
Have wanted to say this for a long time...but guess that now I no longer have a blog, I will write down my thoughts here.

hard to understand a person throughly...you can be with someone for years and you can still wonder what is he/she really thinking, etc... -
The trust that will be hard to gain back especially after being betrayed of the trust that is placed upon each other. Skeptikality towards each other arises, which will slowly snowballed. then KABOOM! The next thing you know after waking up is you're back to square one,single.

i don't know if it applies for others..
but for me i always have this 'ideal person' in my mind. through different r/s(s), this 'ideal person' is changes to suit my requirements. and my experience till nw tells me that this 'ideal person' don't exist. because the people that i always thought are the 'ideal person' will turn out to have somethings i don't like which is one challenge for me to accept and move together with. -

indeed, a human is difficult to understand as we're the most complicated species i think. -

for me, it is easier cos I have long since got rid of my "ideal" person...I tell myself that is just an illusion and a fantasy. Us as a human being has our good points and bad points...Knowing that, I have learned to accept the person I love just the way he is

i can imagine myself smashing his brother's head with my keyboard every time he irritates teh hell out of me -
