just this evening, I was queueing for the bus (and was the first in the queue at the interchange). when the queue got quite long, one old lady came and stood right in front of me. I was rather taken aback by that, but I didnt say anything. I mean, it's not that big a deal right?
however, this sikh lady right behind me in the queue said very loudly to her husband about how the old lady can just do that and get away with it. and that she wonders if she was the who cut queue would I also let her get away with it. I had this huge urge to roll my eyes at her, but I refrained.
then, when the bus captain came and signalled for us to board, she hastened her steps in order to overtake me and the old lady to board first. and I was like what the hell?!?! what is she trying to do?? that was just unbelievably childish can?? -

well truth be told, one would expect the person to deal with any one who cuts in in front of him/her.
however i do wonder why the idiot decided to turn her ire on you and not the old bugger....... -

Aiya those old ladies so old le still don't know what is queue up. I think they had to be re-educated again. Tell them what is the meaning of queuing up. Doesn't mean you are old got license to cut kill.

80% of the oldies in SG tend to cut queues very often. its becos when we were young, we were taught to respect and give way to the eldery.
Knowing this, the oldies make use of the situation for their own good. IMO, the oldies are not uneducated but in fact they are much smarter than some of us.
But still this doesn't give them the green light to go around cutting queues right?
Imagine the Hello Kitty incident. If an oldie suddenly come to the front of the queue when macdonalds open and rushes in to get the kitty, do u think the oldie will get bashed? -
