Hmm, its like some people believe strongly they have this or this kind of disease, it cause them much anguish and stress mentally, the body inner self is thrown into an imbalance, hence sickness or degrading health is commonOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Okie.
put it in another way, whenever one is in agony = stressed up, the body releases cortisols...these are stress related hormones..in e long run these hormones are bad for e body although it helps the body like adrenaline in the short run.Originally posted by alexkusu:Hmm, its like some people believe strongly they have this or this kind of disease, it cause them much anguish and stress mentally, the body inner self is thrown into an imbalance, hence sickness or degrading health is common
But somehow, this don't seem to be the case. She's getting too forgetful, and seeing things that are non-existent and recalling only the past but not the present. Very weird... doctors ruled out dementia... but suspect memory loss, given potassium tablets instead.Originally posted by alexkusu:Hmm, its like some people believe strongly they have this or this kind of disease, it cause them much anguish and stress mentally, the body inner self is thrown into an imbalance, hence sickness or degrading health is common

That's a consolation.Originally posted by alfagal:its v common that memory fails when one ages...
if she cant recall e recent events but yet still rem the past, its not a bad news, at least we know that her memory is still somewhat there, jus that in tierms of encoding new memories, might b a challenge for her.
u shld b glad that e doc ruled dementia out, cos it can be v difficult to take care of such patients. plus, it might not be a bad thing either....she wont b able to recall how bad her condition is...and wont remind herself constantly...
there is nothing one can do about a degenerative brain...
We are prepared for that... but I guess we aren't willing to accept that fact if the day ever reach...Originally posted by alfagal:i'd rather you b more prepared, then caught unwillingly....
