I've got my eye on Offshore Oil and Gas Engineering as well. I believe that it won't be as killer as aero is, and you have to admit that the prospects are pretty good as well. -

In the first place, specialisation has its pros and cons. One of my seniors who didn't specialise told me that her lack of specialisation allows her to be more versatile and have more options later on.
I suppose she has a point. Sacrificing depth for breadth isn't necessarily a bad thing. -

hmmz the thign is specialisation should be done if you actually feel that the specialisation will give you some benefits.
i doubt that when you go to work you will be limited by your specialisation if you dun allow yourself to. after all you have to relearn and learn new stuff when you work anyway -
