Yeah maybe I'll try bugging the lecturer on Monday.
I remember one module last year where it was the other way round - the lecturer was so bad at teaching that lots of undergrads blasted him soundly in the IVLE forum. You could sit through his lectures and sift through 20 pages of notes and still not know what the heck was going on.
Heck, one of my friends was soundly scolded by him when he tried to approach the lecturer with a sample problem which he didn't know how to do.
My friend was so p*ssed off that he told the lecturer straight in the face, 'Eh hello... what's your problem? I just asked you a question; what's so wrong with it that you can't answer it?'
In the end, it was the graduate tutors who saved the day for most of us. One of them took the initiative to come out with his own brief but highly enlightening summaries of the concepts taught. Another took it upon himself to do some past-year questions and post them online.
These guys deserve my utmost respect.
I can't say the same for the lecturer.
