  somehow, that sounds like how i used to do my chinese book reviews. but a bit diff lah. i read the first two chaps, and the last two chaps. and 2 of my friend's essay. and put together an essay of my own. ta-da~~

  i read the descriptions about the book at the back or inside the covers and the last chapter to do my book reviews

  nah.. i'm just going to skip the potential vendors blowing their own trumpet and get to the bit where what they can deliver for us...
  
  i think that's only about 15% of the 400 pages of stuff
  
  then draw out a table, weigh out the pros and cons and see which is the most cost-effective and value-for-money... recommend that
