I took my stoopid malfunctioning Creative Zen V Plus to the Creative HQ just now.
Well, the fella who attended to me wasn't sure whether they could do a one-to-one exchange. He said that the engineers had to examine it first, and he promised that they would examine as soon as possible.
Less than one hour later, I received a call. Turns out that the software was corrupted - they can't do a one-to-one exchange in that case as it's not a hardware fault. They reformatted it and reinstalled the software, and it works fine now.
Oh well. I guess I'm just going to have to accept it. After all, they were highly efficient to do all that in less than one hour.
I'll be off to Creative HQ at around 4pm once I'm zonked out from revision. -

my canon camera oso malfunctioned a few days ago, abt to take it to a service center in spore liao, then read online about some quick fix solution so went back to twist the lense really hard (the error was the lense couldnt retract back), got cracking sound then suddenly the camera is working le
my ipod oso spoiled a few weeks ago, then repaired it myself by reformating it -

Reminds me of my stoopid Samsung digicam which broke down within one week of purchase as well.
Oh well. At least the Creative staff were super efficient and treated my case urgently.
Can't say the same about Samsung, though. It's a long story, but suffice to say that I yelled my head off at the customer service manager, got one of their customer service operators in deep sh*t and threatened to go to CASE.
That's what happens when you treat your customers with contempt. I'll respond in kind with even more contempt. I'll never buy Samsung products again. -
