i want everything to be done by today.. because the boss is going on leave tomorrow..
if it is done, and is endorsed by her, it goes up the chain of bureaucracy and will probably be approved..
then we can award the contract and start with the real work instead of pushing paper -

she called me a while ago to clarify some stuff and said she'd write to me..
but nevermind.. if push comes to shove, can use what i have... but they lose points in the evaluation process

actually, all i wanted to do was to get them all to come down one by one and meet all of them (separately of course) and hear their sales pitch...
then make a decision..
however, boss says cannot like that.. must be "scientific" and rank each one on what they are providing...
so i did and still came out with the same answer
thing is, there's a lot of BS paperwork involved.. -

we're caught between a rock and a hard place...
if we do not follow these things, and i wish we didn't have to, we'd be accused of bias and not following rules... worse things when people accuse you of siding one over the other because of "under the table" deals.. even if untrue, the mud sticks
and if we do follow them, people accuse us of being rigid and stuck in red tape...
between the two, where are we forced to go to? so, to the people who keep going on and on about red tape, do think about this... -

nope.. if you follow the rigid, red tape way, everything is documented, everything is meticulously detailed and there is no room for bias..
of course, there is no room for creative thinking and going out of the box too..
which is why when the idiots start ranting about "think out of the box" i challenged them to do so without incurring the wrath of people who will want to make them accountable for mistakes (make the mistakes! that's how we learn - says the management charlatans) they kept silent... and then tried to change the subject...
i have a bad reputation with the big bosses.. simply because i can smell the BS from a mile away and i am not afraid to tell them that it is BS, and then go prove it to them..

coz i understand all thee concepts , so i try to make things work.. in the rigid form.. N the creative form. n trust its not easy. By getting things n ppl together is already hard. N to keep the pace on.. is even harder. sometimes i really wan to just kill myself or dope myself up full of drugs until i cant feel n smell the bs.~ but smoeones gotta do it.. n i am being paid to do it.~ -

nothing to do with the core duties of the organisation.. mostly PR stuff
in the past, i did the core duties.. and i guess the way i did things scared the big bosses.. it was deadly effective, it was to the point, there was no room for nonsense.. so i guess they felt threatened?
who knows?
frankly, i didn't care... along the way, i made good friends and learnt who those who would sell their grandmas for a whiff of promotion were...
but like many places, no good deed goes unpunished huh? -

if u are deadly effective , the organisation should be putting u there to be in charge ah. No room for nonsense i think creates a too stiff environment in work ler.. must give a bit.. they got power to put u to PR depart ?
