hey alfajie, i sort of identify with your sentiments lah...
like this newly attached friend of mine is one of the 4 in my clique (including myself). another girl in this clique was attached some time back, and she didnt even turn up for our birthday dinners (all 4 of us will always meet for dinner on each of our birthdays, it's like the only times all 4 are present. so it's very important to me).
once, she even told us that she couldnt come for my birthday cos her bf is feeling ill and she has to keep him company.... couldnt help but feel abandoned.
still, i'm happy that 50% of us are happily attached. i wonder when it will come to the third and closest friend of mine... rest assured her bf will undergo some gruelling screening exercise from me. my best friends deserve the best.

from another perspective, them gettign attached means that they are abandoning you in at least some sense, from less time spent together to moving you to lower priorities.

anyway, i seldom get together with this newly attached friend also. but that doesnt make her any less special to me. it's just that our schedules really clash, and aiya, a lot of stuff lah...
so i dun think her getting attached will affect our interaction much (cos there isnt much interaction to begin with). but i sure do hope that she will still turn up for those precious birthday dinners... -
