Or you can try 'speedballs'. Ditzy recommended that to me once. -

before you ask what those are, they look like pingpong balls that has been cut in half which you attach to your laptop.

it was pretty cool.. the fire extinguisher actually made the fire worse by increasing the pressure in the pressurised container

I also have speedballs for when I need to use my laptop on the go.
They just create an air space below your laptop so that there is better air circulation there. It also helps make your laptop more ergonomic.
Pretty overpriced for a single plastic ball, though.... $15. -

3rd test, there was a big time fast-burning fire!
blew off the canopy too!
hair cream in an oxygen-rich environment causes a rapid and bigtime fire.. just no explosion which can cause decapitation -

I bought speedballs first because I thought they would be good enough. But as it turns out, Toshiba laptops are super heat generators. Passive cooling systems like Speedballs don't work so well on them.
So I was forced to take a deep breath and buy a proper active cooling pad.
I can agree that cooling pads are optional, but my laptop gets so hot that the heat really gets to my wrists.
I strongly recommend against Toshiba if any of you here are thinking of buying a new laptop. -

mine had the steppin -m thing where the processor changes speed n power dependin on what applications im running.
my younger bro cellotaped a piece of playing card to the deck to rest his wrist on. -
