All they have done is add on to the stereotype of the lazy Malay. And to use Friday prayers as an excuse for laziness... suffice to say, they have plenty of answering to do to God.
And seriously, I find it hard to blame some people for having the stereotype that Malays are lazy.

most malays are lazy...prob due to the gov spoon feedin for too long. Always rely on their 'rights' to this and that.
The better educated malays even complained about this. I admire a malay friend of mine doing a medicine course in scotland. Though gov funded, at least he is making constructive use of it. -
