My current CAP's 4.18. I'm really not aiming for a lot - I just want to maintain my CAP above 4.0.
I lost 0.07 points last semester.

Which is why I'm pretty scared... it's totally possible to lose 0.18 points in four semesters (including this current semester). -

this sem increase by 0.05. if the results dun change after moderation lah. i hope after moderation, the module with B can get B+. hehe...
i think hor, that if u work consistently, then the cap shouldnt drop too drastically lah. like my last last sem, i tot i will do very badly. end up only drop 0.02. and i was like -___-" make me worry for nothing. -

Last semester (Yr 2 Sem 2) I suffered from a crisis in self-belief. It's a long story, but suffice to say that I somehow lost a lot of confidence in myself which took a long time to restore. As it is limiting the damage to -0.07 points was already quite a tough task - I honestly expected the damage to be much worse.
For this current semester (Yr 3 Sem 1), all bets are off, for I really, really cannot get a good feel of what kind of grades I can expect to get. My modules were such that you could do the questions confidently and completely... only to find out later that you messed up the entire questions and get zero marks for it.
And if I can lose 0.07 points last semester, it's totally possible for me to drop 0.18 points in the next four semester (including this one). Right now I'm just hoping for more damage limitation.
That said, there's nothing I can do now except to enjoy myself until the day of the release of the results.
Instead of tormenting myself from now till Boxing Day (that's when my results are out), I might as well enjoy myself now and delay my personal inner torment until Boxing Day. -
Some of u take 6 modules? Is it a great increase in the workload? So far I take only 5 modules per sem...

And the Engin syllabus is so wide that they cheekily made quite a number of our modules 3MC modules - meaning that we end up taking more modules than others just to meet the quota. And 3MCs does not necessarily mean easier - I've taken many a 3MC module which was as heavy as a 4MC module.
So in the end we're forced to take 6 modules on average per semester. I know of some daredevils who go for seven - I really have no idea how they're able to manage.
Oh well. After this semester I'd have cleared 113 MCs. Just another 47 MCs to clear in the next three semesters. -
i've taken 6 modules for 2 past semesters. quite ok lah, especially if you SU one of them. it frees up subsequent sems for u to do other things, like a urops project.

I see... Hmmm I have to clear 120 MCs in 6 sems, 160 MCs if i get honours...
