now it's mainly biocomputing stuff... trying to get sequences of human disease genes, figure out exactly which mutation is interesting. get a manageable size fragment containing that mutation and BLAST against other species of primates and see if those mutations are functionally ok in them.... then, if got (but now still dun have) got to design primers to pick out those fragments in the 27 other species of primate dna samples in the fridge so as to sequence them. then compare the bases at that mutated codon.
then, go do another disease, or another mutation in the same disease.
something like that.... -

2 women arguing with the bus driver. Can't really hear, but looks like it's over the fares. After arguing for about 5 minutes, they have to get down.
I thought over. 5 more foreigners went over to the bus driver. Pro. The whole bus has been stuck there for more than 5 minutes, all of them so fed up that they got down.
Foreigners win. Bus left with them, driver has no choice but to give in and drive off. And I think he sped all the way. In less than 10 minutes, he was near the MRT station already.
As for the MRT station, I don't know what happened. First thing I saw when I reach was them. But no announcement or whatsoever. -

reminds me of the time when a bunch of Indian migrant workers was bargaining with the driver of a bus over the fares...
the driver, also Indian, ended it by shouting at them all
he then complained to me as i was sitting nearest to him that it was not the first time Indian migrant workers tried to bargain over the bus fare with him -
I think they don't know rules. Our fares are always "fixed".

Today has to be the most surprising site visit i had. I never been to the site , only heard that the working conditions there are real good , the engineers managers , supervisor.. hell the entire management there real easy easy. Now HQ sent me n 1 Engineer down to get hardcopy of the progress report and just to do some minor staff reshuffling when i realised that the site.. is an Oil n Gas refinery.. which..
is right next... to a BEACH!
oh man.. so long no go beach liaw.. the pavement was paved right to the end of the beach so i drove right to the end.. jumped out.. n the few of us took of our shoes n went down to the beach..
just to be spotted by some seniors with Binoculars
but it was all cool though... he he..who would resist a beach man! So far i been to real shit @ss sites... mud , machinery... KM's of machinery.. dangerous soft clay that eats ur boots...
