  she wrote about the life of a little boy... until he grew up over a few books.. and i think the last book, he became an MP
  
  all his thoughts, feelings, delusions, hopes and fears..

  Do pick up the diary of Adrian Mole series. The Bear made a good book reccomendation but then again, the series should only be meant for early teenagers.
