Phrase it nicely, and after they have generously given you the necessary information, explain that you needed the details to plan your expenses. It shows foresight and careful planning on your part -
Perhape it might be better for you to apply for researcher kind of job in Biopolis or other related fields first to expose yourself to the working experience as well as to earn out a living before pursuing your masters.
My idea is that it might be harder to secure a job with your masters without job experience unless you want to go into academia or the teaching profession.

If you are considering masters overseas, just bombard them with your queries during the interview. I'm pretty sure they dun accept overseas students without going through some interview, especially this is a masters we're talking about.
Beside, it's more than likely this ain't the first time the overseas university is taking overseas master student so they shall be pretty experienced and have a detailed plan to accommodate such students.
Not to douse your fire though, but really, unless you're going into academia/research, with a masters (especially for your major), it might be pretty tough to go into other industries later on with no useful working experience. You have to think seriously through this definitely.
So, which country are you aiming for? -
