something's wrong with my car's braking system...

was approaching a traffic light when it turns amber, travelling at 80kph so have to slow down to a stop cos there's a red-light camera...
anyway, i braked hard (not e-braked), and realised a lot of vibration at the brake pedal during the braking process...
is this normal?
i mean, it's never like that when i braked early...
had my servicing 2 months ago, and have it quite regularly at every 5000km...
my car clocking 42000km now... -
issit a knocking sound u hear? It if it is knocking sound, then it should be your ABS kicking in.....

Should be ABS in work.. becos of the sudden braking u did.... well for safety purposes go and check your brake pads, brake fluids and master pump... Shldn't be a problem at all.... if u r worried send your car to a mechanic to do the check...

tats ABS...vibration is normal 
most ppl have misconception on ABS only kicks in during E-brake.

If the ABS always kicks in when you brake, have it send for a check on the master brake pump. My ex-Sunny have this problem and it was due to the faulty master brake pump. the symptoms will be when you brake and towards the end, the ABS kicks in. It's hard to describe but you should be able to tell under normal braking and e-braking.

is it a sort of vibration thing? like one loud "thud" then 1 second later another loud "thud"? The whole brake pads seem to be hitting against something?
I encountered this on my nissan sunny too. initially thought there was something wrong with my brake pads, now i think it might be my ABS. -
i'm not sure about the loud "thud" sound, but i vaguely remember vibrations accompanied by some sound. i guess that's the sound you're talking about.

dun worry....tis just the ABS kicking in.....if in doubt then send 2 mechanic....shld solve the prob
