Rally Celica GT-Four does not look very nice but the normal one look Beautiful but rally Corolla WRC looks cool...

Thanks for the gorgeous pics heng, this would be my fav variant of the family too.
Crossed my mind to get one of such so here i am doin a lil research..
I'm still a lil confused about the generations..
if the above celica debuted in '94 then this one below would be it's parent as 2nd gen?
and if the latest is the fifth gen, so who's the fourth?

hmm well yeah this should be the 2nd Gen but I wasn't aware that the current one is the 5th gen? I suppose if it is, then the one with the round eyes is the 4th gen and this would be the 3rd gen then. i gotta go check it out, but this one is doubtless the parent of the round-eyed ones.
Well this one is rather cool as well, theres one parked outside my sch everyday. -
ahh thanks M for doing my research for me. Now I know there r 7 gens. previously I was only aware of 4 generations of Celicas.
Hmm the 3rd gen was the one I thought was the 1st gen, and I wasn't aware of the 4th gen one because it was similiar to the 5 gen ones. -
Celica GT-Four are Crown of Rally.... won World Rally Championship Driver on 90, 91(2nd), 92, 93, 94 and
Manufacturer Championship on 90(2nd), 91(2nd), 92(2nd), 93, 94.
Celica GT_Four won(1st) 33 WRC events from 1989 till 1994 (manufacturer sponsors still runs till 96) with ST165, ST185 and ST205 model before it was replaced by Corolla WRC at 1998.
9 records toughest Safari rally wins.....

Older version Celica & Celica TwinCam Turbo added another 14 wins. -
I took a picture of a Celica GT-4 ST185 that i spotted in Singapore in the "Sightings 2" topic. The GT-Four model of the Celica comes in ST165, 185 and 205 guise. The ST165 GT-4 was released in 1987 or so as a homologation special (as at the time manufacturers had to produce a road-going version of cars they wished to enter World Rally championships). The one pictured above in red is the ST185, and so far I have spotted two here in Singapore. The blue one pictured with the quad-round headlights is the latest Celica GT-4 model, the ST205. All feature turbocharged engines and four wheel drive, hence the name. You likely wont see any new versions as Toyota is no longer competitng in the WRC and is unlikely to add a turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive platfrom to the SS2 Celica.

I know my ex Brigade MO drives a black Celica... the exact same one as the red one here.... Seen him leaving NUH twice too... hee... cool car...

and 13 for Celica and Celica TwinCam Turbo, gotta seperate out(more precise) as we are talking about Celica GT-Four. I dont think Celica GT FOUR has won so many rallies( 38 ). GT-Four only compete on 8 yrs and to be precise only 6 yrs are Manufacturer competition. So many in few yrs are a feat to beat.
So the total wins by Celica is 34+13 = 47.
