I was thinking of getting the HONDA JAZZ/Fit, but also saw the ASTRA 1.6 at the motorshow.
heard that the jazz is terrific but felt going for european make now.
diff: 20K. diff specs,
what's yr view? -

whats the diff between the jazz and the fit? i mean in terms of fit/finish/specs.. or any other diff.. v curious..

Of cos I would hope u buy fit from me, but the ASTRA 1.6 is a totally diff car from a FIT leh.
And if you can afford ASTRA 1.6, u can have a very very wide choice of cars to choose from.
But if u choose a FIT, it is easier to maintain, have abt the same OMV as ASTRA, pay lower insurance and tax and still have abt 15-20k left in yr pocket.

Jazz is the export model and FIT is the JDM model.
Though Jazz is 1.4 and Fit is 1.3,
they have the same CC which is 1339cc.
But all in all, they are the same car.
But in singapore.
FIT have a higher OMV then Jazz.
So if FIT and Jazz is the same price, the FIT will have a lower depreciation..

I dun think the OMV is the same. Do you know the OMV of the two?
Seriously, I would also like 20Gs in my pocket, less tax, FC is about the same. But Astra has more add-ons, features and safety, space.
besides, breaking 20Gs into 8-9 years is about $200/month.

The last figure I can find for ASTRA-G 1.6A, is $16916 OMV
(for cars registered in July 2004)
For FIT, is $18316 OMV (for cars registered in Oct 2004)
If any one can find the latest OMV for ASTRA 1.6A, please post. -
