Accident Claims

  Ok.. This is the story.. I was driving a rental car (Nissan Sunny) when i knocked into the right side of a peugot 206. Driver for that car is a woman.. So as usual got out and such.. She said she wanted to make a police report. There were no injuries involved.. It was more like my fault at the way one would see in that accident. The question is:
  
  1) Must I make an police report as there are no injuries
  2) Intend to make claim at IDAC with the rental company.. What must i do and produce.
  
  Can someone enlighten me more on the accident claims and such as this is the first time i am doing a claim on my own w/o any help frm my parents? thxs.

  1) No, there is no need to make a police report as there are no injuries. Even if you did, the police will not borther.
  
  2) You have to first inform the rental company. Next, bring the car to IDAC (if it is not there yet) for investigation purposes. Bring your IC, Driving license, car log card (Ask the rental company for it) or photocopy of it, all insurance papers. Prepare to write down a story of the whole incident + photos if any.
