$22 for 3 hours of parking!

Last night, I was attending a function along Bras Basah Road and I was directed to park at NTUC Income Building carpark. There were road construction covering the NTUC building and I had to make one round to the back of the building. I thought it was the carpark for both NTUC building. But I had unknowingly went into the NTUC Trade Union Building, which is directly connected and next to NTUC Income Building. It was 7:38 pm then.
At the function, I was given an complimentary ticket where no value will be deducted from my cash card. the function ended at 11 pm.
At 11:05 pm on the same night, I went to collect my car. But the ticket machine did not accept the complimentary ticket. There were other cars who held the same ticket like me and we were all stuck for a while. We pressed the help button and the guard came.
He then told us the ticket is for NTUC Income carpark which is the next building. I thought, OK, we were mistaken. Just pay with my cash card lor.
I then got a shock. The machine states the parking fee is $22!!
The guard then told us that there is a $20/- charge for parking after 11 pm!! He showed us a signboard where thw words are small. He says that he cannot help us waive the charge as the parking system is fully electronic. Most of us got down and went to the POSB ATM at level 1 to top up our cash card. SHIT !! And the carpark have a big sign that says "No overparking allowed". DAMN, why the $20/- charge?!
Just a word of advice....take note and read any sign at any private carpark entrance before you drive in.

i always try to park at places where i'm familiar with the charges.
take it as a lesson...

Later i work out a list for all shopping mall IF i have the time

Try parking at CBD or even certain Orchard area for 1/2 a day(weekday)...the damage is the same.... -

wat i feel that if this building is other commercial buildings like say taka or wat..the price like that,i won't grumble so much..BUT this is NTUC BUILDING!!!Governament body 1 leh..some more this organisation is to help those people who received UNFAIR TREATMENTS oso..Should write in to the straits time forum..make it big in singapore...
now i noe why NTUC supermarkets are able to absorb the 2% GST..haha
anyway,this is really cheating..go complain..really unreasonable..why after 11pm need to pay extra $20?why?the car can get free grooming at that time or wat?or say the running cost of the carpark rose 200% after 11pm? -

Dude, keep the ticket and it can be waive off.
What you will need to do is to write a e-mail or a formal letter addressing to NTUC and explain the situation to them. As you are not the only one it is clearly that there are some miscommunications.

my friend drive to work and pay $20++ for it....
Actually most of the carparks in town during weekdays and before 5 are quite expensive. Paid $9 parking at Suntec from 11 to 4...
And most of the shopping have those overnight parking rule that charge like $20 after a certain time. So better read before going in.
Those industrial buildings are also like that.
I went in to this near Eunos and get some stuff and got out within 10 minutes... and kena charged $2... no grace period at all. -
