Wanna ask all the old birds and car savvy ppl here abt a problem I'm facing.. Hope someone can offer some advice and help.. Situation as follows:
My ride for abt 6 yrs has worked beautifully in the past til abt a month ago when the car suddenly juz stalled aka died while I was driving... Bewildered at first, I checked all connections and after some time, noticed that the reason the engine died is because the idling RPM dropped to less than 200 (no typo... it's that low

)
As my ride is a Proton Wira, there's a philips head screw located at the top of the I think it's called carburator that controls idling speed so wif my trusty screwdriver, I turned the screw counter clockwise to increase the RPM.
Managed to drive back slowly and after reaching home, everything was fine so I thought I was rather smart and solved the problem

Then the next day, I was proved wrong when I turned the ignition, RPM went up to 2500 and stayed there til the engine has warmed up and dropped to 2000... Thus, I turned the a/m screw clockwise to make it ard 1000 and drove ard hapily til 2 days later... the RPM began to jump from 1000 to 1500 then back to 1000 then 1500 so on so forth... U know... like "voom, voom, voom..."
Strange thing is that when I on the aircon, by right the RPM should increase but in my case, it helps to decrease the RPM

Dunno why also...
Sorry for the long story but ending soon

I went to Proton and I was informed after diagnostics that some flap in the air intake is not closing properly and thus, causing the prob... I asked if they can repair the thing but they said muz change the whole caburator for ard 500 bucks...
So wanna ask the bros and gals if they have faced this problem and solved or knows what the prob and solution is...
