kia cerato and rio

could some car experts here comment on korean cars in general, in particular Rio and cerato.
been looking around for awhile, kia's price is really tempting, but many pple have been saying horrible things about korean cars..high FC, high maintenance after awhile etc..
im not sure if thats a common perception and how much has it improved over the years.
cerato 1.6 is too big for me.. rio suits me fine. like the hatchback.. but how long this model been out already?

korean cars are more affordable than other cars. for kia, i will prefer cerato to rio. rio has been out there for a long time and the current reputation of kia is created by this rio model
, so it is not advisable to get rio.
cerato
is a new product so you are more insured against negative impact if the claims happen to be true. when launched, cerato is around 63k+freebies, now it is around 55.5k. this means that you have already saved about 7k, that is a lot of money

having no problems with korean cars.. anyway what you expect from cars that are cheap.. ... but maybe you should try to look at hyundai cars... almost hte sam standard as japanese cars already... and much better than kia
