My previous IS200 also drinks alot of petrol. My average for drivin it for 3mths is around $450 p/m. For my IS servicing for Engine Oil + Auto - Oil etc easily cost me $300.
From the STi driver in subaru forum, one commented that he could never get above 8km per litre how matter how he drives in it. Not sure is this true but this figure is really scary at least in my personal opinion

For your new STi, you have not auto gearbox oil to maintain but you will have the Turbo to maintain in the long term.
Even though i respect and like the STi a lot in term of performance and looks, i have reservation for TC car. A NA with high end tuning (like a Euro R) is still my choice... just to save, save and save for the day to come
