are buses turbocharged??? y do i keep hearing BOVs?

Like cars, some buses have TC engines, but maybe what you hear are the air brake system releasing the air pressure? Coz this kind brakes are common in buses.

yes.. sum buses/trucks are turbo charged and they do have BOVs.
these are known as turbo diesel if i'm not wrong..
if u got a chance, listen to the 5-tonner military.. u can hear the turbo beautifully when it accelerates.. i love that sound.. -

Bus turbo is more for the increase in torque instead of increase of top speed...
