hmmm.... but if you leave the car at your place and take public, then you'll lose money...Originally posted by wuming78:i just got my car, but i am still taking public transport, and i think i will be doing that especially if i am going downtown, unless i have no other choice, e.g. coming home late. the beauty and convenience of public transport has in fact become more apparent to me since i have my car, although the comfort of a personal transport really surpasses everything.![]()
yep, i made a loss of $3600... sigh, bo bian.... but if i stayed on, i'll need to pay $3000+ this month for road tax and insurance and installment. and it'll take at least 5 more months before there's no loss... then if i stayed on, within this 5 years will be more cost for petrol, parking, servicing, etc etc...Originally posted by Axl:then y sell ur car? 2 year old car if u sell usually is make a loss one?
I kinda miss the NAC bus, now all aircon a bit sianz...I do appreciate aircon bus on crowded morning and evening but other time, I would rather take a NAC bus...Now want to take NAC bus must go far far interchange and take to ulu area and then take back to the interchange...a bit no point and no purpose... And yes, there are much better than JB...Originally posted by sbst275:Please lah, NAC buses are better than in JB

Aircon air are actually very unhealthy because air is sort of isolatedOriginally posted by imprezaWRXSTi22B:pengz. why would you want to take a NAC bus?
It is still up to you... They will be gone by 2006 for the single decks and 2010 for double decks as they came in 1988-1989 for single deck and 1993 for double deckOriginally posted by imprezaWRXSTi22B:yeah la. but imagine in sweltering singapore, you are on a packed NAC bus. wah kaoz the feeling will steam! rather breathe in some unhealthy air and stay cool. just my opinion. haha

my car is not just about money - if money were the main factor, i should have instead chosen to take taxi every trip. i will still spend less than getting a car.Originally posted by rumie:hmmm.... but if you leave the car at your place and take public, then you'll lose money...
e.g. my car installment was $900. so one day is $30. and if i dont drive, i'll be wasting that $30, right??
and ironically, if i do drive the car, i'll need to pay for the petrol and parking.. sigh, what a dilemma.. dont drive waste that $30 per day... wth...
Well, on late nights when it's cool,Originally posted by imprezaWRXSTi22B:pengz. why would you want to take a NAC bus?
now your wallet will not forgive you for the repair cost for the new undercarriage if all for wheels comes offOriginally posted by Gedanken:Hey, try it from my end - eight years driving in Australia, and now I'm resisting the urge to buy a car here because I know it makes absolutely no financial sense owning a car in Singapore for just one year. Public transport sucks, but I just have to keep in mind that I'll never forgive myself for throwing money away.
Got my car waiting for me when I return to Melbourne in March, and baby, I'm gonna drive it till the wheels fall off.
