Anyone have the info for Nissan Sunny 2005? Any improvement for Fuel Consumption? For NS EX Auto 1.6, can anyone tell me what is the average Fuel Consumpion (km/litre)?

the consumption for the outgoing sunny is not really bad lar.. hve cvvt and e-throttle leh..

I easily get 11-12km/ litres on Sunny 1.6A. Still don't get what's the fuss about FC on Sunny

Why a lot of people saying NS is the petrol drinker? I have ask some users in JB and SPORE, JB User say NS FC is low but SPORE user say is high!!! Driving pattern or what is the different? M'sia one is Nissan Sentra (same as Sunny i think). But If 11km/l still not that bad.

I just got 1.. but arriving in feb ... cause i changed colour ..... fuel consumption heard to be the same as the old nissan .... except the decrease in horsepower... but according to the tan cheong guys ... theres slight increase in torque... wouldn't salvage much anyway....

huh 6-7? impossible lah.. mine 3 year old pre FL can get 10km sometimes 11 if travel more on highways

Probably 11km/l considered bad when its other rivals like altis, civic can achieve 13-14km/l.
Also dependent on your driving style. i guess 11km/l can be achieve if you don't floor the accelerator often, otherwise, probably you would end up 6-7km/l. That is the heavy drinker part...

btw, the FC seems to get better after each servicing, maybe they tweak something to the ecu? -

I have just installed Z-stab for my dad's nissan sunny.
Better throttle response
Smoother gear change
Better FC - can get 12 - 13km/l

interesting point: how come a lot of private driving instructors drive the pre-pre-facelift nissan sunny 1.6 manual? should be becos the fc is super low cos students whack their cars everyday. logical? so how come there is a perception that sunny is a drinker? i agree the auto is a drinker, but the manual?

Student don't whack their cars, Where got before see L-plate rev till 6000rpm one., although they still do some damage (clutch, brakepad, etc) to the car.
Maybe sunny spare parts easier to get, but i think they think the main reason it that when they buy the car, they speculate that it is the best time to buy the car, since it is the time when car prices drop to a very low level.
As for auto heavy drinker and manual light drinker, i am not too sure , but after I have driven the FL NS (the one with CVTC and E-throttle), I find the gearbox too responsive, changing gear when not necessary which lead to the higher fc. Go up gentle slope travelling ard 80kmh on expressway also need to change third gear...haizz
