hi guys,
need your help, if a honda city is registered in 2001, which model is it?
it is difficult to differentiate between the new honda city (currently being sold by KM), and the old honda city.
i need to check up some information on the old honda city, where can i get it?
also, any knows what is the difference between the new and old honda city?
in terms of fc, performance, etc?

Registered in 2001 is the old City. It looks like the Civic. The new City only launched in 2003. Of course the 3G better in FC and space utilisation.

2001 honda city should be the one you see in bbdc. squarish features, the lights, the body shape.
think the i-dsl technology only exists on the current new city you see. -
This is the 2001 Honda City.
Both are very different car in terms of shape, so not difficult to differentiate. The one you see above in the old one. The new is the one with a rather 'strange' (to some people) shape
Both the old and new version has a VTEC variant to it on top of its non vtec model.
VTEC - I think you should have heard enough, got enough info.
NON- VTEC The new city with the new i-DSI engine is claimed by Honda to be more efficient and less fuel consumption. The old version is just a normal Honda engine.
I think if you try search engine, type in 2001 honda city, you should be able to get some info on it.

The car your are talking about should be generation 2 Honda City. I am driving one right now and I made the choice based on it being the most fuel efficient car for the kind of money I am willing to pay. It has a pretty low depreciation per year and the vtec version (that i am driving) does give you a kick when you step on the accelerator. Mine is a automatic and I squeeze on the average 13++ km/litre on normal driving (windows up, aircon on, radio on, no flooring of accelerator). BUT there was one time i was testing the limit of FC of the car (windows up, aircon off, radio off, no flooring of accelerator) I managed a whopping 14.6km/litre.
I know there are not much websites that talk about this car but in India, they actually mod this car and use it for races. In Thailand, this car is also rather popular. I was checking through the net and found that this car can produce 115 horses on 98 petrol. I was a bit surprised and still trying to get more info on it.
