depending on wat mod is done loh...Originally posted by JackOT:Actually I started this topic because I drive a evo. I did not mod my car because I feel that it's already fast enough. But I hate it when ppl comment that my car will lose out to a "modded" civic. I think it's crap, let's talk only in Singapore. How can my evo lose out to a "modded" civic? Just wanna find opinion from ppl with already fast car and did not mod it.

Well, from my point of view, i dun say intregra type R la hor...if a modded civic normal can already be bout 6sec plus, at high speed, te vtec open, 200+km/h should be no problem, well, i sit before friend's evo 200+km/h also, not say evo not fast , i feel jus tat...stock can fight wid modded ..MAY OR MAY NOT LOSE.Depend on driver or as belowOriginally posted by JackOT:Actually I started this topic because I drive a evo. How about rolling start on ECP towards Changi Airport, from Marina South exit till Fort Road?Originally posted by ditzy:Then you tell them Braddell depot to Lorong Chuan shell station, fastest time wins.![]()
well, in truth, most cases u wun lose, as Evo pickup is quite fast indeed, got Gs and all, without too much feeling of lag. STi feels a bit weak tho, and seems to be markedly slower.. mebe the 15 bhp diff really can be felt. But there are quite a number of monster civics out there.Originally posted by JackOT:Actually I started this topic because I drive a evo. u can see there Civics, 0-100km/h lose EVO by bout 1sec, but there quarter mile, Civic timing is faster den EVO.....

Its defn not lousy.. juz tat its used as a benchmark.. actually, tat also means subconsciously people respect the Evo, that they are always trying to beat that benchmark..Originally posted by JackOT:Seems like most of you are comparing Stock Evo and a Modded Civic in term of drag racing. How about a street race? Any comment on the handling? I admire Honda's vtec very much too, I'm just pissed that some ppl just think that a stock evo is lousy.
