Getz with o to 100 in 9.6 sec

I heaRD THAT THE 1.6l hyundai GETZ has the capablity of accelerating from rest to 100km/h in 9.6 sec is that true.

Sounds reasonable. I accept it. The new bmw 1 series has roughly the same timing, well thats what I heard for now that is.

A modified on might be able to. If you are talking about standard one.... i think able to get 11s.

last I heard L@gson from this forums tested the new ones. Apparently it did do something under 10 so yes, I think its true. can bug him for ride when his new Getz(the o-100 under 10s one) is delivered.

the 1.6 manual version can do under 10sec -
yup the Getz manual 1.6L does 0-100 in 9.6secs while the 1.6 auto does it in 12secs. This is partially one of the reasons why i got the manual getz, extremely fast pick up puttin' it within the range of the Ignis Sport (8.9secs) and YRV turbo (8secs), space and looks wise, it wins the other 2 hands down.
The Getz has a ton of aftermarket parts and a great club goin for it (getzclub.com) for further prove of the Getz cult status in SG u shld check the webbie out. Hope this helps -

A car's max speed depends on 3 things:
Max power output.
Its tyre rolling resistance
Aerodynamic drag
This is assuming that it is geared so that peak power in top gear coincides with the max speed, otherwise there is a small penalty.
in turn, tre rolling resistance(TRR) depends on the resisitance coefficient, the weight of the car, and to a limited extent on speed. aerodynamic drag depends on the frontal area of the car, its drag coefficient(Cd), and the square of the speed.
At very high speeds, aero drag is so much higher than the TRR that TRR can be disregarded.
it would be simpler to calculate a car's max speed with known figures than to do it from scratch, because u need knowledge of the car's frontal area n CD, plus its power output.
Anyways, what is the max power of the hyundai Getz? i can do a simple calculation of how much u have to increase the bhp if u want a higher top speed. -

IF we wanted to get it to a top speed of 150mph (240km/h), we would need to increase it's bhp to......... approx 250bhp. thats an increase of 145bhp. -

As much as i know, the chassis for the Getz can take most to most 220 horses before the undercarriage pops its bolts and nuts.
Please correct if wrong -
220 hp max plus another 100 horses when u activate NOS.........engine bo liao after that ah...
BTW may i know what is the max speed for a car that has 165 bhp....? -

Unless the Getz can hit 100km/h in 2nd gear and the gear box must change also(original how can) u need time to shift gear too.... the car needs some mods also...... I tried my SIR to hit 0-100 at 7.6sec(according to spec) but cannot due to the gear changing time...if only i change to RX-8 type gear box...
