hi there..maybe it would be good if you can do a intro on your ride?
I currently have a SAFC Gen 1 on my ride and it was dyno tuned. I would say that the improvement for both performance and FC have improved quite abit. But then again, my car is old thus maybe allowing more room for the piggyback to improve on it.
However, i have seen the SAFC on various other cars. For example, the 92 Honda city 1.5 Vtec...with good tuning it really does bring out more from your engine.
some cars, however, I heard the technology of ECU nowadays have improved to a point whereby they are able to offset any piggyback settings. I do not know this for sure but these are some examples.
For Subarus TS and Rexes, i heard that within a month or so the ECU will have fully offset any SAFC settings. Thus for the SAFC to continue working, you would have to reset your ECU ideally, every week.
And reading from the Vios forum. The members there think that the SAFC Gen 1 does not work well on their car and only the SAFC Gen 2 works well.
Lastly, a humble opinion. every car was designed for a particular market and has its own limits so dont expect TOO much of a performance improvement should your car not be designed so.
