What to look out for when the car hits 60,000km?

  E.g. change disc brake or other parts? Change lubricant, change engine oil, go for a service, etc.?
  
  Asking this because I am interested in a 2nd hand Mazda 6 which is at its 58,000km liao.

  wah seh the mileage so high... well your car should go for a good servicing... and check if the other items like brakes, spark plugs, batteries are all in order.. but my advice is that the mileage is too high... not worth getting... btw how old is the car...

  Timing belt. See if it needs replacement.

  actually, it'll be advisable if you can just send in the car to the mechanic for a check upon getting a 2nd hand car, and they should be able to advise accordingly.
  
  Some will say need to change timing belt at 60,000km, and the water gasket as well. But I did mine at 80,000km and its perfectly okie.
  
  58,000km for a 1.5 yr old car is a bit on the high side. But of cos, that depend on how much he is selling you also. Is it a 2000cc version? If so, you might want to let us know how much you are getting it at.

  Yup it's a 2000cc version.
  
  The dealer quote me $70k with a yearly depn of 6.8k. Intending to bargain it down to 67k. If not, might go for other cars already...

  Just send it in to a good workshop for maintenance . Just tell them to call you first if things need replace or fixing.
  
  This way they will judge for you and advice you what is needed. Don't go around begging to be kill the moment you step into the workshop or else even things that are not needed to change, they will also change so to earn your $$$.
