void warranty with drop in after market air filter?

  hi would like to know whether warranty will be voided with drop in after market air filter .e.g K&N.

  depends on what car you are driving and which company is providing the warranty..
  
  some companies dont even allow you to use other brands of engine oil else warranty is void.
  
  Whereas for air filter...most companies that i have heard of ALLOW them..so warranty will not be voided.

  if you're not sure, just retain the original stock filter to swop back everytime before you bring the car back to the agent. Since no modifications are needed, can't tell...

  Rule of thumb, what even you mod, it must be reversible. As long as this rule is met, you can do whatever you want with your vechicle. This is what 1 SE told me when I asked him.
