Toyota Harrier Anyone?

Hey all,
I'm considering the Toyota Harrier 2.4L model. I was visiting some showrooms yesterday in Ubi and the general price I was quoted was 115k to 120k around there.
I was told the engine for this model is the same engine as the present Camry 2.4L. I personally am not bothered whether it's a Lexus or Toyota but I'm particular on the driving feeling. Qn now is, is the Harrier the same as the Lexus Rx300? I do know the RX300 is 3L n the harrier i'm interested in is the 2.4L model but other than engine size and power, is everything the same?
I like big cars n see it as an investment for the long run and can see myself driving this car for 10yrs.
Any bros have the harrier or any comments?

Lexus RX300 is a Harrier 3.0 in Japan since they dun have lexus brand there yet. Lexus is a branding exercise for export market, which will end sometime this year. The local Harrier is just a lower-spec car with a smaller engine in the harrier line-up. Badge aside, there are also slight difference in interior trim.
Most people who bought a harrier rebadged it as a Lexus. Easy way to up the snob appeal. Other than the logcard, the only dead give-away that it's a Harrier is the third side mirror on the front fender.

hey man, thanx! I'm not a brand concious particular person but very particular about the riding and feeling of the car. 3L is abit overkill so that's why the 2.4L is more attractive to me.

Btw, isn't it illegal to change the harrier logo to a Lexus? -
I see the words lexus all over the outside. When I take a walk to the driver's seat, I see a big toyota badge smack right in the centre of the steering wheel.

I think you need to change the whole steering wheel.
Oh btw, there is also ways to take away the side mirror on the front fender.

Try turning the front and back lexus badge 120 degrees downwards, then it'll look something like an acura, though I don't know how much that would help. But the toyota badge still stays at the steering.
How about you switch badge position? Toyota harrier with a lexus steering wheel, now thats new. -
It is not illegal to change logo as far as LTA is concerned. They are more concern abt mechancal modification than cosmetic one. The logo on the steering wheel can be changed, but i'm not sure if u need to tear out the whole wheel. I have seen people done it b4 and i believe the PI which u r going to buy from should be very exp in this matter.
3rd mirror i wun suggest u take off. Def involve major cutting, and it should be helpful in chking blind spot. It's there for a purpose unless Toyota is too free to do so. -
Then I still think that additional exhaust pipe on the 5zigen vios is a fake.

Fundamentally, the Harrier or RX300 doesn't make a diff to me coz i'm inside and i juz want to enjoy the driving experience. I was lusting at the car at the showrooms on sunday man. It's a much stronger lust than for a girl.
When i sat in the car, i just knew, this baby was meant to be mine. Now i just have to work out the finances.
