I test drove the auto version about 2 yrs ago, just before the agent (Comfort) pulled out of the car distribution biz....Originally posted by F[r]0sTy:anybody can provide me details/info on the car. not neccesary to have driven it before, all opinions are welcomed. i would like to know abt the price, handling, interior workmanship.
Kembara, i believe is like kachi in Malaysia. Should be daihatsu made.Originally posted by F[r]0sTy:ya, from the specs can see that its gonna be underpowered. guess a 1300cc engine for a SUV doesn't really work out. how about the price? i heard the engine is daihatsu produced?
If I'm not wrong, the engine is the same 1.3l 16V engine as the Charade SG sedan. A decent engine, but prob too much power loss through the auto trans and the full time 4WD. Like most Perodua cars, the car IS a rebadged Daihatsu- look up Daihatsu Terios. Same car, different badge only....Originally posted by F[r]0sTy:ya, from the specs can see that its gonna be underpowered. guess a 1300cc engine for a SUV doesn't really work out. how about the price? i heard the engine is daihatsu produced?

honda jazz rather expensive, latest i saw on wheels, it cost abt 72k, no doubt a geat car, but i feel not worth paying this kind of $ for a 1.4L carOriginally posted by F[r]0sTy:somehow, i find the wooden parts of the altis and vios dash very plasticky. after reading some of your opinions. i have narrowed the field down to,
