  Cameras on top of Lamp posts....
  
  Just out of curiousity
  
  I heard from some friends that the camera on top of the Lamp posts serve more than one purpose (monitoring the traffic).
  
  They said that some have built in speed cams to gauge the speed of the traffic and anti terrorist measures.
  
  Is it true?

  Those are soley for monitoring and recording purposes used by the LTA and TP, Dun think they do speed checking .

  My friend who works in LTA n monitors the cams says that it does capture speed of cars. But so far never heard TP using it.

  In school, we had learn that Speed = Distance / Time
  
  The distance between the camera mounted on lamposts ARE known. Time are captured by the camera. too. So they just need to employ a primary school student (@ maybe $3.50 per hr), let him sit in a corner to practice his Maths, and BINGO! they have yr speed!!!

  By the way? Anyone know what Radar/ Laser Detector can be use for SG TP NEW LASER Digital Camera?? Where they Hide or place on the overhead bridge.
