I've just got my driving license. But i dont have a car to drive...
How am i going to have 1 year experience if i dont even have a car.
Currently looking for car rentals that i can approach. -
Take up a taxi driver job.. or Bus driver.. that's help!

taxi you need a vocation license and bus drivers need class 4. p plates need not apply..
anyway.. your 1 year experience is from the day you pass to the next year regardless if you drive or dont drive.. it is how long you have held your license -
Why do you need that 1 year experience? Renting car for fun, I understand. But for experience, don't see the need to. I got license 2000, drive only 3 times since. car rental normally do not rent out to p plate.

The other alternative is join car sharing scheme IF you want to drive often or now and then.
cityspeed car sharing accept P plate holders. -
yup city speed is a good idea.... or you wait for your p plate to get over then you can start practicing...

Why not you take up a service/delivery job.
In that way you have the opp. to use the company car.(free petrol and save bus fare)
I used to drive company car for a year after i got my license and slowly pickup the driving skill.
Take Note for P-Plate driver.
Drive carefully cos' new driver are very inexperience & arrogant.
Always care for road users on the road. Don't forget,you do not own the road. -

pls put on a p-plate still.... cos to me.... p-plate is not by how long u got your license, but how good is your driving skill!!! -
To alot of people, that P-plate is like a signal to "eat". But it is true to what you said, still I am not going to put it. To me, it is all about your attitude behind the wheel, P or not P, some poeple still drive dangerously and even experience driver can still sleep during driving. Hehe... I think L plate more like signal to 'eat'... But seriously, because L plate driving are driving with a instructor, so they tends to be slower, in everything!!!
Just time will going to Ubi Ave4 from bedok, My dad's car was turning right, lined up behind 5 L plates. It took us about 4 red light changes to get through. Turned out that 4 of them are doing U-turns.
But for "P" drivers, I believed that they are capable of driving with ease. How else would they pass the test. But some are really with the wrong attitude, cutting and speeding like those "bad teachers". For me, I am driving a new tiny car, burning in now, plus fuel conscious. So still moving at low speed, and keeping my distance. I guess if you observe rule even after you have driven for a long time, everyone should be fine.
