Balancing on slope

Regards to balancing on slope on cirucuit, the car cannot roll back how many metres? or it cant even roll back? if roll back not even 1metre, how many points or no points will be deduct? or imidate failure? Thanks

if less than a metre no points fly off....
dun worry....jus step more on the gas....

learn how to half clutch. if u do it correctly, your vehicle can stay on the slope without moving forward or backward without any foot brake or hand brake.

Roll Backward (less than 1 metre) = 2 points (3 boxes to tick) and
1 metre or more = 1 circle (immediate) -
haha more gas and a suitable clutch level should do the job

For those learning circuit slope, depress your accerator until the idle rpm then slowly release ur clutch to half clutch position or until you feels the urge of the car to move forward then hold it there and then release the handbrakes and the car will move forward.
If I nv remember wrongly the RPM is around 2.0-2.5K for the car to have that urge forward feeling....

In case you are too nervous to sense whether the car is urging forward, you might also want to watch your bonnet closely. When the car is ready to move forward on the slope, you can actually see the bonnet rise significantly. At that point, you can release your handbrake, and the car will move forward without rolling back.

actually if u pull the handbrake n put half clutch den step the gas harder
den slowly remove the clutch still wif the handbrake, the car will still move....
but u mus step enough gas....
this way confirm wont roll back not even 1mm....ha ha... -

I remember when taking my driving test last time i revved to about 3500rpm on half clutch before releasing the handbrake when asked to move off the slope... This way u won't have to worry about the car sliding backwards. It worked for my instructor's lousy old honda civic.

I used to roll back on the slope during my lessons, more worse is sometimes can and sometimes cannot, so I can't be sure of whether I can or not.
Then slowly realise just have to do synchronised movements when reached half clutch and releasing hand brake. This is what I do
1. Rev up to at least 2.5k rpm or 3k if wan to make sure
2. Release clutch to till u feel the car "wanting" to move ahead (if can't feel, then can judge by when rpm start dropping)
3. Then do 3 movements at the same time - release clutch, step accelerator and release handbrake and off u go.
Most impt to remember when "taking off" is hand push down, left leg up, right leg down.

if follow the steps confirm wun roll bac 1~ confirm + guarantee chop
its called the 3-1-2 formula~
after u engaged handbrake, step accelerator to 3 x1000rpm
release clutch until 1 x1000rpm
step the accelerator somemore to 2 x1000rpm
den release handbrake, the car will move~ *confirmed*
(may a little fast though, got a culture shock when i first used it, used to crawling halfdead up the slope)
jus make sure u use the engine brake with footbrake when u go down

but some times u will tend to be nervous n might not be so accurate on the rpm... -
my advice is when u pull the handbrake,
treat it as normal like u drive on an even road(clutch n accelerator must co-ordinate slowly)
till u feel dat the car is surging forward a bit den u slowly release the handbrake...
